The connotations with folk art, which is abundant in the music known from weddings, television, discos, or festivals, will be emphasized by the fabric, quilted background imitating traditional woven bedspreads, runners, or ritual towels. Intriguing collage combinations of words, written in a specially designed typography imitating weaving techniques, will be readable especially in the darkness, as they will be covered with luminescent pigment. Kitschy-romantic poetry, constructed from organic squares and stripes, will allow the audience to "connect the dots" and thus be deciphered, as well as perceive traces of irony. The titular sfumato refers to gentle, soft blurs, hazy color transitions associated with Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa and its understated, mysterious landscape background, which I tried to find in the source texts during in-depth research. Interestingly, many of them feature recurring elements such as silvery hues, shadows, mist, white swans, or red rowan, echoing paganism.
